A Different Kind of Away Day - Reset, Reflect, Regenerate

No flipcharts. No PowerPoint. No tick boxes. Just space and lasting change.
This autumn, we’re inviting teams to step away from the noise and into a different kind of experience.
We’re launching a series of regenerative team development days. Not designed around frameworks or content-heavy agendas, but built on rhythm, reflection, and reconnection. We’re calling them Forest Clearing Days.
These aren’t the typical away days. There are no printed timetables, no one person delivering all the answers, no lists of tasks that gather dust back in the office.
Instead, we work with three regenerative stages:
Soil – You
How’s your energy? What are you bringing into the team environment? What needs tending beneath the surface?
Goal – Us
What’s realistic right now? What direction feels grounded, energising and shared?
Forest – Impact
How can your team become visible in the right way? Not just by what you do, but by how you show up. Can you be a model for something better?
Each session is aligned with the seasons. Autumn is a time to gather what’s working, compost what’s not, and prepare for the winter ahead.
Before the day, each participant completes a Dig Deep self-reflection, and the team completes an organisational snapshot. What’s growing well? What’s stuck? What’s ready for change?
These days will be held in the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The land itself helps people settle, breathe more deeply, and think more clearly.
They will also be tech-free, interruption-free spaces. No phones. No laptops. No notifications. Full attention, fully present. We believe this is not a nice-to-have, but essential.
This is part of a wider rhythm. Four gatherings per year, one each season, with short online check-ins between them to maintain focus and connection. The goal is not just a team reset, but a way to sustain a regenerative mindset over time.
What makes this different?
No PowerPoint.
No worksheets.
No box-ticking.
This isn’t about downloading more information. It’s about making space for clarity.
It’s a day for slowing down, noticing what matters, and realigning how we work together.
It’s not about escaping. It’s about returning differently.
If we think in terms of ESG, regeneration goes far beyond it. A truly regenerative organisation is not one with a glossy sustainability report or an annual culture survey. It’s one where real attention is given to inner development — where people are trusted to grow, reflect, and lead with purpose.
This is the opposite of the usual executive education model. No sheep-dip workshops. No platitude-filled feedback forms. No tick-box learning modules. Or yet more human-centric leadership theories and frameworks.
This is about creating the conditions for sustained vitality and contribution — where individual energy, self-direction and deep attention are seen as central to organisational health.
As The Art of Gathering reminds us, meaningful change begins when we step outside our usual environment. The right setting calms the nervous system, lowers stress, and makes it easier to think clearly and act wisely.
This isn’t a one-off event. It’s part of a deeper shift in how we work, lead, and live.
If you want your team to work with more focus, creativity, and care this season, book your clarity call here, we’d love to talk.
Warm Regards
Mark
