Autumn Outlook - Letting Go

Autumn Outlook - Letting Go
One of the ideas we are exploring with clients is the belief that being busy equates to successful outcomes.
It doesn’t.
Busyness is often a reaction to chaos. We fill the space, respond to what is coming at us and keep moving, because stopping can feel uncomfortable.
But look at a tree in autumn.
As it loses its leaves, we can see further.
The tree isn’t doing more. It is letting go.
And perhaps there is something in that for us.
What do you need to stop doing?
What are you continuing to do because you’ve always done it? Because you’re good at it? Because it feels comfortable? Or simply because it is there?
What might become possible if you let it go?
This is one of the reasons we find coaching so powerful, both with individuals and groups.
At To Focus, we use questions and natural metaphors to create space to see things differently.
Not:
“What else should I add to my list?”
But:
“What can I let go of?”
Fewer actions. More important actions.
Less reacting. More seeing.
Creating the conditions now for the next season of growth in 2027.
In a world of volatility and constant demands, letting go isn’t something that necessarily happens naturally. We need a process for it.
And sometimes what we most need to let go of isn’t an action at all.
It is a story we have been telling ourselves about who we need to be.
Perhaps it’s time to let one of those stories go.
If this resonates with you please read our new Seasonal Outlook for Autumn, you may find it useful.
Warm regards,
Mark
